Your journey begins early in the morning with hotel pickup from Punta Cana at 6:30 AM or Miches between 8:45 AM and 9:00 AM. Upon arrival at the rural station in Magua, your local tour guide warmly welcomes you with a traditional Dominican breakfast, freshly prepared to fuel your adventure.
After breakfast, you’ll prepare for a scenic hike lasting approximately 2 hours, following lush countryside trails surrounded by cacao trees, coffee plants, and tropical vegetation. Before the main adventure begins, you’ll enjoy a short lunch break (about 15 minutes) to recharge.
The real excitement starts as you descend through forest paths and begin crossing up to six rivers. You may choose to cross on horseback or on foot—either way, expect your shoes to get wet. This is part of the fun.
Along the route, you’ll:
Climb natural terrain
Cross flowing rivers
Walk through cacao and coffee plantations
Stop at a small countryside station where the horses rest
Continue by crossing the final two rivers leading to the waterfall

On the return to the station, a home-style Dominican lunch awaits you—prepared by the same local lady who welcomed you earlier, offering a heartfelt taste of rural Dominican cuisine.
